Students Share What They Learn

I think that one of the best uses for my blog would be for my student's to share what they have learned. This would be a extension of our learning groups in class. We could also make a video report of important points about things like story settings in ELA, how to round decimals in Math, and many other exciting new learning.

  1. I also agree that blogs can be used to wrap up lesson and for students to share what they have learned. Students can then respond to one another if they agree and then add on to another students comments. Is there are particular activity that you were thinking of doing with your students?

  2. I was thinking of working with our buddy 2nd grade class and explore new learning together. My 5th grade class just finished a unit on oceans and visited the class to show some power points and sing a ocean song that we rewrote to the lyrics of the Beatles song, "Yellow Submarine". The 2nd grade had some great question for my class about the ocean and even emailed some even better question. My thought was that we could use this blogg as a place for our students to interact on these questions and other learning experiences we have.

  3. Hi Jim-

Have you asked your students how they might see using a blog in the classroom?

  5. Becky,
We will be using the blog to discuss our learning with our 2nd grade buddy class to start with. Both classes have been studying the ocean and we hope to use this tool to increase student engagement. Our class is very excited about using this blog. Stay tuned!
